Biography
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Monica lived in Mexico City from a very young age, where she had her art education at La Esmeralda. She spent a big part of her life travelling around the world, finally settling with her family in Australia in 1996. Returning to working in sculpture in 2009, Monica has been exhibiting regularly and has won since then several sculpture awards. She has recently added a variety of small ceramic works to her repertoire.
Sculpting and working with clay are Monica’s passion. Her aim is to create pieces that instill emotion and sensitivity. Creating is a journey, and the final creation is often far from the starting point. Monica’s desire is for her work to offer the public as much pleasure as it gives her in bringing those pieces together to life.
